Daniel Jacob Radcliffe, the Harry Potter actor, was born in London, England on July 23, 1989. His first major break came when he appeared as one of Dickens' famous characters: David Copperfield. His performance was well received.
Chris Columbus and David Heyman were interested in Dan from the beginning as they were organizing the staff for the most awaited Harry Potter movie. Their interest was not matched by Daniel's parents, who were afraid that a rejection for a Harry Potter part would be devastating to him.
